Lunch

Don't worry too much, but we need your prayers again. Sarah has a hairline fracture in her femur. They say its not uncommon in little girls. She's getting a cast put on now. Updates to follow.

Oh poor baby. A little tiny cast for her. I didn't realize this was such a common finding. I am glad that they caught it and can get it under control before it gets worse.

No shortage of prayers here! It is wonderful to have a support group who can, at a moments notice, add their love and support for your little angel girl! -- and to the two of you. This is so hard on you! Having seen Sarah tonight, I can see that she really is quite calm and comfy... despite the cast!

According to a bit of research, premature babies are subject to "osteopenia" (osteo = bone, penia = not enough of). It is in the last trimester that the baby absorbs elements that make strong bones (calcium, phosphorus, magnesium and vit D.) So it is not uncommon for the preemies to have fractures. It may not have any lasting effect.

We love you and want to help in any way we can.

Auntie Ruth is right, now is the most important time for support for Sarah, me and Roger.

Speaking for myself, I wholeheartedly appreciate all your loving support. It is through the love and support of everyone out there that makes it just a little easier to imagine that day when I get to bring my baby girl home. I can not believe that Sarah is 7 weeks old today, and will be 33 weeks Gestational Age on Friday! Sweet baby girl, Momma can't wait to get you home!

She'll tough this out. She's one tough chick. I had a bride daven for her the other day since they say that on your wedding day you have a direct line open to God. And I know He was listening!
