First Night in My Crib!

We finally made the move this week to the crib. While Sarah is only 9lbs, she has begun rolling and the bassinet is no longer an option when the rolling begins. Sarah handled it like a trooper, as she handled most things. I thought I would be a little more nervous or emotional but I wasn't. She looks so tiny in that big girl crib! I still do get up to feed her (while she is asleep) at night and we have the monitor on to listen for any cries, but it seems to have been a smooth transition.

Sarah, you look like you are the most peaceful little girl in the world! Such a big girl in your crib. Don't do what Daddy used to do; I'd put him down for a nap with the sides up, and pretty soon, he'd come shuffling out to where I was with a big smile on his face!

I hope you have a lot of beautiful dreams and good night's of sleep. Girls do need their beauty rest, you know.

Love, Grandma

Hey Sarah and Braelyn have found even more common ground this week. We no longer can use the bassinet, he would wiggle sideways and get extremely upset when he would end up sideways with no way to put his head down. We'd ran to his rescue for the last time Sunday and retired the bassinet and brought out the travel bed for nap time in the common rooms. He has been sleeping in his crib next to mommies bed since coming home. Our biggest thing now is keep him at at least a 30 degree angle. He ends up turned around with his feet elevated. Silly baby! Braelyn also weighed in at the Dr's office yesterday at 9lbs 13 ounces, although we think it's more like 9lbs 6 or 7 ounces..We just could see him gaining an entire pound in 1 week. Sarah looks absolutely beautiful sleeping, she is such a special little girl..Thanks for the update..and oh yeah, the cackle video brought tears to my eyes, I can't wait to hear Braelyn's version of the cackle!! Hugs Lorrie

It is so amazing to see how Sarah is doing. I am so happy to see another "tiny" girl with a huge personality doing so well! We are so glad to see you sleeping soundly little Sarah!

Love and good thoughts to you all,
