Weekend Update

Sarah had her first bottle feeding on Friday! She ate 16 of 24 cc's of milk on her very first try.
Then today Roger and I went to watch her bottle feeding for the second time. She did almost as well eating 12 of 24, but we attribute it to her being tired. Sarah was wide awake from 7-9am, and fell asleep right when it was time to come out to be fed. Here are some pictures of the physical therapist feeding her today. For now she will be getting one bottle a day to be fed by the medical staff since preemies are a little difficult to feed. The look on her face when she actually tastes the milk is priceless! Thanks for the new hat Grandma!

Oh and Sarah weighed in at 1190 grams or 2 lbs 10 ounces last night. Way to go Sarah!

She's really come a long way! We're so happy for all of you. Sarah's a beautiful little girl, and she certainly got the hang of eating from a bottle with no problem.
Good work, team!

Hey! What the heck? My kids were really terrible at the bottle. Despite all my efforts they could not get the rhythm of all sucking, breathing and swallowing at the same time. Pretty darn cool. She is really something. She's one tough and smart baby.

Grandma picked out a cute grandma hat! She looks so cute. You must love just staring at her. And you get to see her moving...that must be really cool!!! (Roger, that's a hint to look into the video thing once again. Sarah, mother-daughter, and father-daughter pictures really warm us up out here where it is very cold.

Sending lots of love once again from Boston 15" of snow,

Rosemary, Jay, Katherine, Margaret and Charlie.

Wow that is great! I know how important it is to get them to start taking the milk from the bottle. I get happy when mine suck it down as well. It makes you feel so good-like they are making such an improvement...one step closer to home. The hat is so darn cute! What a good girl!!!
