Friday Morning Weigh In

Sarah had her first official post cast weigh in and...she amazed us once again.
2 POUNDS 8 OUNCES! 1140 grams for those of you watching the grams side.
She is triple her lowest weight and almost triple her birth weight! Her skin looks amazing and her legs seems to have healed well, Thank God. And today is another big day for the big girl. She is supposed to have another eye exam AND she will be given a bottle for the first time today to try it out. Good luck Sarah! Suck, swallow and breathe all together in harmony! And happy 35 weeks!

OOOOOOh! We are so excited with all the great news! So far she has passed every test; our prayers are for this one, too! Granted, there is sure to be a period with both bottle and tube as she gains momentum with the ability to suck/swallow/breathe. But can you imagaine how adorable she'll be with that cute little mouth of hers without the tube? Awwwwh!

2.5 LBS! It won't be long before you get to bring her home. We know she will master the sucking, swallowing and breathing routine--look how far she has come already!

The photos you posted of the comparisons are so great! They brought tears to my eyes. Of course I am super hormonal now! But they are a great way to see progress. Thank you for posting. She is doing so well and she looks really healthy and content. She has great family and support. I am so happy to see her progress to the point where she can come home. What a great homecoming day you will all have.

Thank you for your comments Erika. I do appreciate it. This is a great way to stay in touch. I am just now starting to feel better and trying to get back to the swing of things before I get to have them come home. I wish you well today!
